All S1 pupils attend one period of ICT each week before splitting into Business Management, Administration and IT and Computing Science. The purpose of this course is to develop their IT skills to use across the school curriculum. 

The current topics covered in S1 ICT are as follows:

*Google Classroom and Google for Education apps - Pupils learn how to use Google Classroom and look at the different Google apps such as Google Docs, Sheets and Forms. This enables them to confidently complete any class work from home and access relevant class materials. 

*CSI - This topic introduces all pupils to MS Access - a database programme. Pupils are introduced to inserting information and how to sort and filter a database. They will also continue to use Google apps in this unit of work. 

*Magical Mouse Travel - This topic introduces a variety of other software programmes which pupils can use in their learning across the school. It also looks at internet research skills - a vital skill for later on in life.
