Family Engagement

Why?

Families play a crucial role in supporting their children’s learning, and levels of parental engagement are consistently associated with children’s academic outcomes.

Involving Families & Learning at Home

Families are the first and on-going educators of their own children and we strive to ensure accessible information and support to help develop learning at home and in the community

Home-School Partnership and Family Representation

Effective home-school partnerships are essential to ensure that each child gets the most out of their time in school. We are very open to the involvement of parents and are always happy to explore opportunities to encourage meaningful involvement to engage with your children’s education.

Our Parent Council representing our parent forum give our parents and carers the opportunity to have their views represented on policy matters and decisions affecting the education of their child.

The views of our families

At Lornshill Academy, we work hard to listen to the views of everyone in our community, including our families.

We have collated feedback from conversations and focus groups held with family members and provided an update on the areas raised.

Please find the most recent version of our "You said, we're doing" document below.
