Message from your Year Heads
We are absolutely delighted to be year heads for S1-3 and throughout your time in S3, we will both do our best to support you and ensure that you make progress throughout your year.
As well as your House Heads who will support you in your time at Lornshill, we will also be here to work with you, your peers, your family and school staff to make your time in our school an enjoyable and productive one.
The importance of S3 cannot be underestimated and now that you have chosen the subjects you wish to continue with, it is important that you give 100% effort to each one, every single lesson. This will allow you to go on and reach your potential in S4.
Our school community is built on several key values and we will continue to revisit these throughout the school session. Firstly there is respect and it is crucial that throughout your time in S1, you behave in a respectful manner and treat all members of our school community with the same respect that you rightfully expect yourself.

Integrity is our second core value and this simply means doing the right thing. As a student, there will be times when you may find yourself in a difficult situation and when thinking about how to react, consider the consequences for yourself and others whilst always being honest.
Compassion is also important to us as your Year Heads but also to our school. We are a caring school who will go the extra mile to support you throughout your time in S3. We simply ask that you show the same compassion for others throughout your time in Lornshill Academy and also in the wider community.
Should you need to speak with us directly then just come and see us during interval or lunchtime when we are normally in the Hub area. Should you ever need to come to our office, we are located on the first floor between the Languages and Social Subjects faculties.
