Catering
Why?
With the introduction of nutritional standards for school meals, children who take advantage of them are now guaranteed at least two of their five daily portions of fruit and vegetables, along with other essential vitamins and minerals, which plays an important role in developing healthy eating habits. Consumption of healthy school meals can influence children’s food diet at home, helping to develop healthy eating habits. And while the consumption of junk food is also linked to poor behaviour, which can negatively affect children’s learning at school, provision of healthier school meals has been shown to improve classroom behaviour, helping to improve academic performance.
We would encourage all families to use our school catering services and stay on the school campus over our lunch break. Our school campus is supervised with staff available throughout to provide a safe and supportive environment.
Catering is available before school, at morning interval and during the lunch break. We operate a cashless catering system where pupils use their fingerprint to pay for food and drink. Pupils can put money into their account using the school machines in the social hub or parents can credit their account using ParentPay.
The catering team within our school provide a range of hot and cold meals for pupils to purchase and enjoy at lunchtime as well as snacks for interval.
The weekly menus are displayed prominently in the Hub area and aim to offer a range of options to our pupils.
Parents and carers can use our ParentPay system to add credit to their child's account for use within the school. Please use the button below to login to your account.
