Family Engagement
Lornshill Academy is proud of the significant parental support and working partnership to make OUR school better. Each session there are several opportunities for families to get involved in the key school priorities. These take different forms of engagement and enable us as a school community to plan and iplement policy and practice that makes a difference to all of our young people.
All parents and guardians are welcome and we would encourage your participation.
Parental Engagement Opportunities - Session 2024-2025
Focus Groups
Each session we ask for parents to support us in some key decision making. These are normaly matters that arise or could be planned where it is helpful to parental voice to support our thinking. Parents and guardians can register their interest if they would be willing to be contacted throughout the year and participate if available.
School Survey Analysis
Each session we conduct a number of school community surveys to see what is working well and what can be improved. Having parents and guardians to support this work enables us to look at answers given through a parental lense and help us better understand possible next steps.

Curriculum
This session we are planning for significant change to our school curriculum. These changes will take place over a number of years and we need parents and guardians to support our thinking, discussion and planning.

Inclusive Education
This session we are developing our work around being a truly inclusive learning environemnt for all pupils. We are keen for parents and guardians to support this work and provide a different perspective to ensure we are meeting the needs of all pupils in the classroom environment.
