Welcome to Lornshill Academy
On behalf of our entire school community, I am delighted to welcome you to the Lornshill Academy website. We have designed this space with our learners, families, and staff at the heart of everything we do, ensuring you have easy access to the information, resources, and support you need to stay connected with school life.
Our Community and Vision
Lornshill Academy is a vibrant six-year comprehensive school situated between the village of Tullibody and Alloa. Proudly serving over 1,100 young people, we are more than just a place of learning; we are a community built on mutual respect and ambition.
Our primary commitment is to create an environment where every young person feels a true sense of belonging. Whether it is through academic achievement, building lifelong friendships, or discovering a new passion, we strive to ensure every learner has the opportunity to flourish and develop the skills for learning, life, and work.
A Wealth of Opportunity
Life at Lornshill extends far beyond the classroom. We offer a rich and diverse range of wider achievement opportunities, from competitive sports and expressive arts to cultural projects that celebrate our heritage and diversity. We encourage all our learners to engage fully with these experiences, helping them to build resilience, confidence, and a positive sense of responsibility toward their peers and the wider world.
Working Together
Our dedicated team of teachers, support staff, and partners work tirelessly to provide exceptional learning experiences both during and after the school day. We firmly believe that education is a partnership. The strong relationships we share with our parents, carers, and local partners are the cornerstone of our success. We warmly welcome your involvement and value the vital role you play in our school’s journey.
I hope you find our website helpful, and I look forward to working alongside you to support our young people in achieving their very best.
Warm regards,
Tom Black
