Peer Mediation

Peer Mediation at Lornshill Academy is a programme run by the pupils, for the pupils. It aims to help young people who are being bullied, arguing with friends, getting into trouble with teachers, or just looking for someone to talk to.

We have 26 Peer Mediators at Lornshill, from S5-S6. They are all fully trained in Restorative Practice, which focuses on repairing relationships, accepting responsibility for your actions and reaching a helpful resolution that works for all involved. For more information on Restorative Practice, please refer to the Transforming Conflict Restorative Approaches web page.

All conversations mediated are completely confidential. Information will only be passed onto a teacher if someone is believed to be in danger.
