Lornshill Academy Awards Information


Preparations for this year’s Awards Ceremony are well underway and we are now delighted to let you know that nominations are currently open for a limited time to allow parents/carers or some of our partner agencies to nominate our young people for Awards.


Attached in the link below are the special awards which young people can be nominated for by parents/carers or our partners.  All nominations should be e-mailed to the school or written and sent to the school office for the attention of Mr Phil Arnold (DHT).   All nominations for awards must be received by 9am on Tuesday 2nd May.  Any nominations received after this time will not be considered. 


Our Awards Committee will meet during the following week to discuss all nominations and pick who receives each award.  The Committee will consist of 4 teaching staff, 1 member of the parent council, 1 member of Admin staff and 1 member of the catering staff.   Those selected for the Committee changes each year.  The decision of the Awards Committee is final.


Award winners will be notified in the coming weeks if they have been successful.


To nominate a pupil for an award please e-mail and include the pupils name, tutorial class or year group, the award you wish to nominate them for and a brief explanation about why you think they deserve the award.  This will provide our Awards Committee with information to discuss each pupil and decide the award winners for each award.
