Lornshill Academy has started a School of Creative Arts. Pupils who are successful in getting a place will have the opportunity to work on cross-curricular projects with Music, Art and Drama. This will allow pupils to deepen and broaden their understanding of skills for life long learning, learning collaboratively and work together to produce an end result.
Project undertaken by the School of Creative Arts are:
- Creating a short movie to music using props, costume and acting
- Looking at performances from the view of a Musician, Artist, Actor or Director
- Produce performances for Whole-school events
Pupils in the School of Creative Arts are expected to attend extra-curricular activities in the Creative Arts department and represent the school at Creative Arts events.
