For the attention of parents / guardians
HM Inspectors from Education Scotland will be visiting us to conduct an inspection during the week commencing 27th November 2017. You can find out more about inspection, from the Inspection and review documentation pages of Education Scotland’s website.
As part of the inspection, Inspectors gather the views of stakeholders via an online survey which is available by clicking on the following link:
I would like to encourage you to complete the survey. Inspectors will also be meeting with groups of parents during the inspection so to be part of that discussion you should complete the survey with additional links provided to indicate your interest in taking part.
You should complete the survey by THURSDAY 16th NOVEMBER for one child or for each of your children in attendance.

WELCOME FROM THE HEADTEACHER
I am very pleased to welcome you to Lornshill Academy’s website. I hope you find it informative and easy to use. There is a great deal of useful information already available on the website and it also provides a number of links to other key sites and we shall add to these over time.
Lornshill Academy is a six year comprehensive school, situated between the village of Tullibody and Alloa with a student roll of around 1130. Within our learning community we are fully committed to providing opportunities for every pupil to achieve success, to make friends, to discover new talents and to develop new skills.
We offer opportunities for your child to take part in a wide range of activities including sports, music, drama, and cultural activities in addition to the academic life of the school. In return we ask that your child shows us commitment, works hard, sets high expectations and takes responsibility for supporting our school community.
Our teachers, support staff and many partners are hard-working, caring and devote many hours of their time to providing excellent learning experiences including clubs and activities outside the normal school day.
Positive relationships with all our partners are core to our success and you will always be made to feel welcome within our school.
